Prior to studying Osteopathy Smita worked as a research assistant in neuropathology. It became clear that she wanted to work more closely with people and after encouragement from a close friend she decided to train as an Osteopath. During her time at university Smita continued her lab research work in neuropathology and also began working as a lab technician in general pathology.

Smita is interested in all areas of practice and has gained experience in the management of both chronic and acute conditions. Clinically she has treated a variety of musculoskeletal and visceral conditions from babies to the elderly.

When not at work, Smita enjoys the occasional belly dance for fun, fitness and femininity. In winter she likes to dabble in crafts and took up knitting last year. She is often pursuing some form of professional and personal development.
